Site information / Privacy

Your data here

This notice explains the data practices of the static guides and browser tools on squadcozylantern.com.

Who to contact

For privacy questions concerning Squad Cozy Lantern, write to [email protected]. Include enough context to identify your request, but do not send passwords, identity documents or other sensitive information unless a secure and necessary process has been agreed.

Reading the guides

The site code does not include analytics, advertising trackers, third-party fonts, embedded video players or account registration. Images, styles and scripts are requested from the site itself. Like other websites, delivering these files involves your browser sending technical request data to the hosting infrastructure.

Hosting providers may process information such as IP address, requested URL, browser information and request time for delivery, security and troubleshooting. This site does not promise that infrastructure logs are absent. Their retention depends on the hosting configuration and any applicable legal requirements.

The message composer

Text entered into the contact composer is processed in your browser. The tool does not submit it to a server, store it in localStorage or transmit it to the site operator. Closing or reloading the page normally removes the tool's in-memory draft, although your browser may independently restore form fields.

“Copy text” places the message on your device's clipboard if you grant access. “Download text” creates a plain-text file on your device. Clipboard history, cloud clipboard services, device backups and downloaded files are governed by your own device settings. Be careful when using a shared device.

If you send an email

Sending an email is separate from using the composer. If you send one, the recipient receives your email address, message contents and any information or attachments you choose to include. Email providers also process delivery metadata under their own policies.

Correspondence may be used to answer your request, investigate a reported error or maintain a record of the discussion. It is not used by this site for mailing-list subscriptions or targeted advertising. Access should be limited to people and service providers needed to handle the correspondence, protect the service or meet legal obligations.

Messages should be kept only as long as reasonably needed for those purposes, including necessary records of resolved issues. No fixed retention period is promised here. You may ask whether correspondence can be deleted; legal or operational requirements may limit immediate deletion.

Browser storage

If you choose to save a preference on the Cookies page, one localStorage value records that choice in the current browser. It does not contain your draft or email address. It remains until you clear it, your browser removes it or you use the page's removal control. Neither preference enables tracking.

Your choices and requests

You can read the guides without saving a browser preference. You can also disable JavaScript, clear site storage and contact us without using the composer. Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of personal information, or complain to your relevant data protection authority.

To make a request, use the contact email and describe the information concerned. We may need a proportionate way to verify the request. We cannot retrieve an unsent draft because the composer does not send it to us.

External sites and changes

External links open services with their own privacy practices. We do not control those services. If site functionality or data practices change, this notice should be updated to reflect the change. Review it before sharing information you consider sensitive.
